目前反渗透技术已成为海水淡化最主要的方法之一，而预处理是反渗透技术必不可少的步骤。因传统方法不能完全去除胶体和悬浮物质，出水水质易波动，从而降低反渗透膜的产水能力及寿命。超滤膜微孔的孔径只允许水分子、水中的有益矿物质和微量元素通过，因此细菌以及比细菌体积大得多的胶体、铁锈、悬浮物、泥沙、大分子有机物等都能被超滤膜截留下来，从而实现了净化过程。

二、技术优点

1、陶瓷膜或者MBR系统应用于海水淡化预处理过程中，产水浊度＜0.1 NTU，SDI15＜2.0；

2、改善反渗透膜进水水质，延长反渗透膜使用寿命，减少化学药剂消耗等；

3、结构简单，系统占地面积小，且投资少。

5、节能环保，成本低
